My journey began across multiple disciplines. With a background in engineering and business, I spent years working in advertising, marketing, and business development. Before founding Astrea Beauty, I built and scaled both a technology company and an educational institution. Those experiences taught me how to create systems, build teams, and turn ideas into sustainable businesses.
The Turning Point However, the inspiration for Astrea came from something deeply personal. I developed a severe skin allergy that persisted despite consulting both conventional and alternative medical practitioners. Nothing seemed to work. As an engineer, I became curious about the science behind skincare formulations and began studying ingredients, chemistry, and product development in greater detail.
What started as a personal search for relief eventually led to a breakthrough. After extensive research and experimentation, I developed a moisturizer that successfully resolved my skin condition. That single product became the foundation of what would later become Astrea Beauty.
Building From Scratch In 2019, Astrea Beauty was formally incorporated with a mission to create high-performance, science-backed skincare rooted in transparency and quality. Rather than relying on third-party white-label manufacturers, we chose a more challenging path: building our own formulations from scratch.
Today, Astrea has developed more than 40 products in-house with support from an R&D team that includes specialized chemists and botanists. We also established our own manufacturing facility in Chennai, giving us complete control over quality, innovation, and production standards.
Connecting with Consumers During the early years, customer feedback became one of our most valuable assets. To better understand consumer behavior, we launched Astrea Beauty Bars inside major shopping destinations such as Phoenix Market City. These experiential kiosks allowed customers to touch, test, and experience products firsthand while giving us real-time insights into their preferences and concerns.

Global Benchmarks & Expansion As the brand matured, we pursued one of the most rigorous certifications in the global beauty industry. Astrea Beauty became "COSMOS NATURAL certified by Ecocert Greenlife according to the COSMOS Standard." Achieving this standard reinforced our commitment to building products that meet internationally recognized benchmarks.
With strong foundations in place, the next chapter was global expansion. Following a strategic rebrand, Astrea entered the United States through a wholly owned subsidiary. To announce the launch, the company executed a PR campaign that generated extraordinary visibility. A single press release produced more than 564 media pickups, reaching an audience of approximately 96 million impressions within 24 hours.
Today, Astrea Beauty is positioned as an "I-Beauty" brand — Indian Beauty inspired by the ancient South Indian tradition of Siddha wisdom while backed by modern scientific research and manufacturing excellence.
Looking ahead, our mission remains unchanged: to create globally respected skincare products that combine science, sustainability, and India's rich wellness heritage while solving real problems for consumers around the world.
