"RetainIQ is an AI-powered Customer Decision Intelligence platform that helps SaaS companies identify churn risk and recover revenue."

Startup Description RetainIQ is an AI-powered Customer Decision Intelligence platform that helps SaaS companies identify churn risk, recover revenue, improve customer retention, and accelerate growth before opportunities are lost.

Unlike traditional dashboards that only report what has already happened, RetainIQ continuously analyzes customer behavior, payment signals, engagement patterns, and operational data to surface the decisions teams should take next. The platform delivers proactive recommendations for customer success, finance, and revenue teams, helping them retain valuable customers, recover at-risk revenue, and prioritize the actions that drive the greatest business impact.

Our mission is to transform customer retention from a reactive process into a predictive, decision-driven growth engine. By combining adaptive retention intelligence, revenue recovery workflows, and AI-powered decision support, RetainIQ enables businesses to act with confidence before churn occurs, rather than explaining losses after the fact.

Founder Journey My founder journey started long before RetainIQ. Over the last decade, I worked across data, analytics, pricing, AI, and business strategy roles, helping organizations make better decisions from data. Throughout that journey, I repeatedly observed the same challenge: companies had more dashboards, reports, and metrics than ever before, yet they still struggled to identify customers at risk, recover lost revenue, and take timely action.

The rise of AI created an opportunity to change that. Instead of building another reporting platform, I wanted to build a system that could help teams understand what decision to make next and why.

That vision ultimately became RetainIQ — an AI-powered Customer Decision Intelligence platform focused on helping companies reduce churn, recover revenue, and retain their most valuable customers before it's too late. Building a startup alongside a full-time career has been challenging, but it has also reinforced my belief that meaningful businesses are often built by solving real problems you've witnessed firsthand.

How did the idea originate? The idea for RetainIQ originated from a simple observation: companies invest heavily in acquiring customers but often lack visibility into why customers leave, why payments fail, or which accounts are quietly becoming disengaged. In many organizations, teams only discover problems after revenue has already been lost. Customer success teams react to churn. Finance teams react to failed payments. Leadership teams react to declining metrics.

I believed AI could help organizations move from reacting to predicting and acting earlier. RetainIQ was created to provide early warning signals, revenue recovery intelligence, and decision support so teams can intervene before problems become losses.

Journey before becoming a founder Before starting RetainIQ, I spent more than a decade working across engineering, technology, data, analytics, pricing, and AI-driven business initiatives in global organizations.

Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping businesses make better decisions using data. Working closely with business leaders across different functions gave me firsthand exposure to the challenges organizations face around customer retention, revenue growth, operational efficiency, and decision-making.

Alongside my professional career, I developed a deep interest in artificial intelligence and machine learning, investing significant time in continuous learning, certifications, hands-on projects, and engaging with the broader technology community. RetainIQ emerged from the intersection of these experiences — combining my background in data and AI with a desire to help companies make smarter customer and revenue decisions.

Top Advice

Start before you feel ready. Many aspiring founders spend months perfecting ideas, business plans, and product features before speaking to potential customers. In reality, customer conversations are the fastest path to learning. Focus on solving a real problem rather than chasing trends. Build relationships, seek feedback aggressively, and remember that consistency beats intensity. Most importantly, don't be afraid to launch imperfectly.

Wish I Knew Earlier

The biggest challenge has not been technology — it has been customer discovery and validation. Building AI products is easier than building products people genuinely want and are willing to pay for. Early on, I realized that assumptions are dangerous. Every conversation with founders, customer success leaders, and operators taught me something that challenged my original thinking. Another challenge has been balancing execution across product development, customer conversations, partnerships, marketing, and fundraising while maintaining a full-time professional career.
